With the support of the School of Social of Entrepreneurs , I'm excited to be part of relaunching Worn Reborn from what was once a small ethical fashion label, into a community project with an even greater social purpose.

With a varied creative career across the Hair and Fashion industries, I graduated from Chelsea School of Art with a BA in Printed Textiles for Fashion. Having worked freelance in London, I then relocated to Barcelona and opened HED Peluqueros, a hair salon and ethical fashion boutique in the creative Barrio Raval.

Now as a Art Lecturer and Designer, I'm passionate about working holistically with young people; inspiring and supporting them to be creative, have a voice and to take positive action. From working within the community sector, I learnt that Fashion, with its visual mass appeal, is an incredibly powerful tool for bringing about positive, self and social change; values I recognise as essential to all our futures.

I am passionate and excited to part of Worn Reborn CIC and its ethical approach to engaging young people.

My background is mainly as an Arts Practitioner and Community Arts Facilitator mostly working on young peoples projects. I graduated from university with a BA in Visual Art.

Both personally and professionally, my experience of working with environmental causes and social exclusion issues are what drive my enthusiasm and hope for positive changes. My passion for the environment is upheld in my personal lifestyle choices and permeates through to my professional life. So, having the opportunity to be part of Worn Reborn, combining creativity with ethical productivity and young people, rests itself nicely in my heart.

My involvement with Worn Reborn ties in perfectly with my passion for environmental issues and the reduction of landfill waste in particular.

With a background in Surface Pattern Design, Pattern Cutting and Textiles, I started out establishing Earthy Kit, an up-cycled Fashion label based in my home town of Hebden Bridge. Since then, I've continued my love of creating and making 'stuff' from previously used and discarded fabrics.

My current mission with Worn Reborn is the designing and manufacturing of bags made from reclaimed upholstery and tent fabric. I just love mixing odd combinations of texture and pattern to create something new and completely stylish.
